What is happening today?
A few weeks before the start of 2021, several notable brands such as Burger King, General Motors and Pfizer presented redesigns to their logos. In the words of Fernando Machado, global marketing director of RBI (owners of Burger King): “updating the visual identity will help communicate that our brand is evolving.” During the first days of January they announced that, after 20 years, the redesign of the brand responded to the elimination of the use of preservatives in their products to offer healthier products. Along with the logo change, they presented changes in their food packaging, updates in their uniforms and transformations in the architecture of their locations.
In the case of General Motors, the new logo will be presented in a campaign entitled Everybody In, whose intention is to promote electric vehicles and the evolution of the organization itself.
