INFORMATION AS A TOOL FOR COMMUNITIES AND THE COMMON GOOD
Collaboration between different disciplines allows one to get a more complete and in-depth view of a given topic. In spAce, we continue to grow reflections on neuroscience, well- being, and hospitality, all linked to our core, architecture. Through various exploratory multidisciplinary papers, we intend to raise general awareness of issues relevant to architecture such as climate change, urbanization, accessibility, and social equity. Most importantly, we aim to emphasize the initiative of research into action, translating complex concepts into tangible practices shared in accessible language to facilitate participation and stimulate constructive debate. Casting light on these issues promotes greater individual and collective responsibility, stimulates people to address these challenges, and accelerates dialogue between professionals, institutions, and the public to facilitate the implementation of more effective policies.
Architecture is a field that intersects with many other disciplines, such as engineering, urban planning, anthropology, psychology, sociology, and the environment. Through the integration of them all it is possible to better understand complex problems and develop effective solutions. Instead of approaching a problem from only one perspective, we consider multiple factors, including environmental, social, cultural, and economic aspects. This fosters an understanding of the linkages and makes it possible to develop solutions that are more sustainable and responsive to the needs of individuals and communities.
